But the air’s so appetizin’; and the landscape through the haze
Of a crisp and sunny morning of the airly autumn days
Is a pictur’ that no painter has the colorin’ to mock–
When the frost is on the punkin and the fodder’s in the shock.
[James Whitcomb Riley]
Robert Pence, photographer, recorded these and other images of our Hoosier autumn on his tour of Salomon Farm Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. For more of his photos, select this LINK. Bob also took the fisherman photo in the masthead—the fisherman is my son James and the photo was taken about 18 years ago.
Those pictures are so crisp and colorful.
I am looking for a photo to put in my living room.
I want to find a photo of a Red Tail Hawk in flight over a farm field. I saw this image in real life and it gave me such peace. I have looked on the internet for one but could never find one i liked. They had Red Tail Hawks standing on mountain ledges with snow but i want one that looks like the bird lives in Ohio.
Just thought I’d put it out there. I will look at the link you suggested when i have more time.
Thanks!
Gorgeous photos! The colour in the hollyhocks.. just outrageous! in such a good way. The sunflowers are beyond lovely but perhaps my favourite is your son fishing.
