Courage allows the successful woman to fail
and learn powerful lessons from the failure
so that in the end,
she didn’t fail at all.

Winter knitting classes started last Tuesday but a snow storm changed our plans so I emailed a PDF file of the instructions for this year’s Valentine Socks (Hearts and Flowers) to the folks who signed up. This might be an opportunity in disguise. I’ll meet with the class this Tuesday (providing there isn’t another big snow fall) and ask them about how it was to try the pattern on their own. If the response is positive, I’ll add it to the positive response I received from my New Harmony friend, Candy, and set up my Ravelry account to sell patterns online. I have at least fifty designs that I could develop into patterns.
I would like to contact Katherine. If someone has her email address I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Yes sell your patterns, especially the colorful counterpane pattern you created for Sarah Jane’s. I don’t live in Fort Wayne any more so I never get to take any of your classes.
Those are such pretty socks!!
Yes! get those patterns gathered up and sell them, I’ll be in line!
lovely socks! i love socks trimmed with color work–even my best color work socks are too bulky for most of my shoes.. but hems and toes are fine. Lovely, just lovely!
sounds like a great plan, Katherine! I’d buy your patterns for sure – and I’m certain many others would as well. Wish I lived close enough to enjoy your winter classes 🙂
The socks are beautiful Katherine and I marvel at the intricacies of the pattern. It will be interesting to see how many brave knitters venture out on their own and what valuable lessons will arise. That’s not much different than venturing into a story and finding your truths. Love the quote!
